Building / House Extensions London
The most common alteration work we do is simple extension, supporting upper floors or even entire buildings. Artdom Construction Ltd, Building Contractors in London specialising in House Extensins, have extensive experience in this particular aspect of building work.
If you want to add an extension to your house think about the purpose of your extension. Is it going to be self-contained area for use as a separate home, an extra space for growing family, a commercial use or an investment to increase the value of your property? Draw out some plans and list of your ideas.
Our Royal Institute of British Architects members will draw up plans for submission to the planning department in your local Council. We can negotiate on your behalf with the council and keep you informed on the progress. Applying for planning permission could be a slow process especially if you are refused at first time or there are some objections.
At this stage our fee for architect will start at around £ 750 for a small extension. Our extension designer will explain beforehand what services are required and what is included in their professional fees. Once we obtain planning permission our architect will have to submit detailed technical plans required for the building control authority’s approval. For this stage architect’s fee may be additional £ 750 for small extension.
Finally Artdom Construction will provide you with some quotes and sign the contract.
Please note that our estimate can be revised until you have agreed a written quote for work. We can give you fixed quote for your extension providing that extension is detailed, post-planning architectural drawings have been produced and Artdom Construction’s builder has visited the property to discuss your requirements and has done survey of the site conditions. Contract between the client and Artdom Construction will be signed by both parties before work commences. Fixed quote will form part of this contract.
London House Extension Prices may range between £ 20,000 and £ 70,000 . There is no precise formula for obtaining an accurate cost for your extension (apart from a fixed quote from a builder). We have worked out an indicative price guide for building extension in London.
A typical ground floor extension may bear a cost of around £ 30,000 - £ 50,000.
Please note, that price for home extension will vary depending on several factors: location of the house, ground conditions, quality of finishes: electrical, plumbing work, fitting a kitchen, bathroom and type of extension required.
